Kishiwada Danjiri Festival 2025
The Kishiwada Danjiri Festival began in the mid-Edo period when the lord of Kishiwada Domain held an Inari festival to pray for a good harvest. With a history of over 300 years, this vibrant tradition has been passed down through generations of local residents.
During the day, you’ll witness dynamic and skillful danjiri (festival floats) being pulled through the streets, and at night, the beautifully lit floats decorated with lanterns create a magical spectacle. Experience this powerful tradition in the nostalgic townscape of Kishiwada.
