Kyoto International Manga and Anime Fair 2024

The Kyoto International Manga & Anime Fair (Kyomaf) was established in 2012 with the goal of promoting the market in the Kansai region, primarily around Kyoto. The event supports the creation of new business opportunities utilizing manga and anime, the development and employment opportunities for creators, the attraction of new tourists including young people and foreigners, and the elevation of the Kyoto brand as a content city through the international dissemination of manga and anime culture. This year marks the 13th anniversary of the event.

Thanks to the support of manga, anime, and game fans, as well as industry stakeholders, the event has grown into a large-scale gathering attracting many visitors each year. It has not only become a major event in Kyoto but has also contributed to industry development in the city, including the support of local creators and an increase in anime and game production companies.

Kyomaf is one of the few large content events in western Japan and offers opportunities for greater engagement with users in the Kansai region and for promoting works.
