Mount Moiwa rope way Autumn leaves When 2024
The summit observatory of Moiwa Mountain is accessible by ropeway for about 5 minutes and a mini cable car for an additional 2 minutes. From there, visitors can enjoy panoramic views of Sapporo city, and on clear days, the Ishikari Bay and Mount Eniwa can be seen. The tourist highway is a 3.5 km scenic drive along the southern side of Moiwa Mountain, offering breathtaking views below. Moiwa Mid-Station has parking facilities available.
Notably, Moiwa Mountain is home to approximately 450 species of plants, and the surrounding primeval forest is designated as a natural monument. It has also been selected as one of the “Hokkaido Nature 100” and offers views of Sapporo’s night scenery, certified as one of the “New Three Major Night Views of Japan,” particularly beautiful at night.
