Overview:
Based on Monkey Punch’s iconic manga Lupin the Third, the new kabuki play “Ryuuseirou Sansei” returns for a Kyoto performance in 2025 following a successful premiere at Tokyo’s Shinbashi Enbujo in 2023. Written and directed by Kazuhisa Tobe, this unique fusion of classic kabuki and modern pop culture features Lupin and his crew in traditional Japanese style.
Cast includes: Ainosuke Kataoka (Lupin III), Ukon Onoe (Goemon Ishikawa), Emisaburo Ichikawa (Daisuke Jigen), Eya Ichikawa (Fujiko Mine), and Shoujo Ichikawa (Inspector Zenigata).
