Reading play “Nekotan!” ～Nekomachi Mysterious Tales～” 2024

“Cat Detective Story: Nekotan! ~Cat Town Strange Stories~” is an original content that combines Showa-era modern aesthetics with cats. It is based on the world of “Cat Town,” the only novel by the poet Sakutarō Hagiwara, who is often called the “father of modern Japanese poetry.”

In this tale, detective Mayoji Somari and client Rian Saibe take on a series of gruesome cat murders that have struck fear into Cat Town. They receive advice from the town’s elder cat, Sakutaro, meet an important cat of interest who holds the key to the case, Lee Tatsui, and work alongside the ace detective of the first investigative division, Shota Amemiya, to uncover the truth behind the case.

With witty banter, unexpected twists, and an unanticipated conclusion, this thrilling detective adventure is set to begin!
