The Edogawa Fireworks Festival 2026

The Edogawa Fireworks Festival (Edogawa-ku Hanabi Taikai) and the Ichikawa Citizen Fireworks Festival are held annually on the first Saturday of August along the banks of the Edogawa River, which lies between Edogawa Ward in Tokyo and Ichikawa City in Chiba Prefecture. In this description, both events are collectively referred to as the “Edogawa Fireworks Festival.” Together with the Sumida River Fireworks Festival held every July, it is considered one of Tokyo’s two major fireworks festivals.
