Kagoshima with


The biggest island in Kagoshima Prefecture's Satsunan island group, which stretches between Kyushu and Okinawa. The island is notably similar to the Okinawan Islands to the south in terms of temperature, beaches, animals, and vegetation.

One or two flights a day are operated by JAL and its subsidiary airlines from several Japanese cities, including Tokyo (about 2.5 hours), Osaka (about 2 hours), Fukuoka (about 90 minutes), Kagoshima (about 1 hour), and Naha (about 1 hour). 

Ayamaru Cape Tourist Park

Ayamaru Misaki Cape Park, which is located in Amami Oshima's most northern region, has stunning views of the Pacific Ocean. To take in the view, stop by the ocean-facing café or the viewpoint. Nature surrounds the cape, with a huge coral reef lying just beneath the water's surface and a subtropical forest of palms.
   Visit the sago palm jungle and ocean water pool, or take a trip on a bike or model train. Grass skiing, ground golf, a sizable children's play area, and many more activities are available!

Ohama Seaside Park


A white sandy beach in this lovely park has been named one of Japan's top 100 beaches. The beach is covered in broken coral and the ocean is emerald green.
The park, which faces west, provides spectacular sunsets. A campsite, viewing deck, and promenade boardwalk are also present. Sea turtles come to the beach every year to lay their eggs, making it a popular location for birding and important for the ecosystem.

Mangrove Park Amami


A vast forest of mangrove trees expanse across a significant region on the southern side of Amami Oshima. The Kuroshio no Mori Mangrove Park is the location where you may have the experience of paddling a canoe through that natural jungle.
A tour guide will lead you through the forest, instructing you on how to paddle and going over the ecology of the mangroves.
