    Nihonbashi is second biggest anime city in Japan! Akihabara is very famous as anime city but Nihonbashi is also pretty big and famous anime city in Japan which located in Osaka. If you planning to going osaka instead of Tokyo you have to go to Nihonbashi. Also very near from shinsekai Osaka too!

    Ikebukuro is also wellknows as city for otaku. there is many anime store located and many anime event going on every day. And also the biggest pokemon center pokemon center mega tokyo are also located here. and also biggest animate.

    One of the popular place with subculture. It is located in Tokyo Nakano ward. You can find many stuff relating to Japanese subculture.

  • Unversal studio Japan

    Most famous amusment park in Japan. The often makes anime evnt there too. They had attack on titan, Evangelion, One piece etc event in the past. If you have any chance of coming to Osaka you have to check the Event in Universal studio!

Japan, indeed, is the homeland of otaku culture. It's the largest exporter of anime, manga, and games, boasting the world's biggest entertainment market. In this country, where the entertainment industry alone moves trillions of yen, there are numerous places that otaku absolutely must visit! Locations such as Akihabara, Ikebukuro, Nihonbashi Den Den Town, and many more can be found. Among them, I've selected a few must-visit places that stand out!

This is the biggest and the most popular travel company in Japan!! You can reserve hotel at reasonable price!! There are English, Thai, Korean and Chinese version for Rakuten!! Akihabara

Akihabara is an absolute must-visit place for otaku! It proudly holds the top spot! You can check the details from the link above in the ranking!

Ikebukuro

Ikebukuro is also a recommended place for otaku! Especially for fans of otome-related goods, as there are plenty of items catering to otome interests! You can also see more details from the link above!

Shibuya

Shibuya, surprisingly, is a place with many anime shops! While it may not surpass Ikebukuro or Akihabara, it's still highly recommended for otaku! Especially noteworthy is the one and only Nintendo Store in Tokyo – a must-visit!

Osaka Nihonbashi

The western Akihabara, Nihonbashi – indeed, it's an otaku paradise! As an otaku myself, I've visited Nihonbashi multiple times! It's seriously the best!!

Yokohama

Yokohama is famous for Minato Mirai and Chinatown, widely known as popular dating spots! And, of course, there are numerous shops recommended for anime otaku as well!

Nagoya

Actually, in Nagoya, there is an otaku district similar to Akihabara! It's called Osu! For otaku, I highly recommend checking it out when you visit Nagoya! There are quite a number of anime shops waiting for you!

Fukuoka

Fukuoka has many recommended shops for otaku! Especially noteworthy are AruAru City in Kitakyushu and Tenjin!

Shinjuku

Shinjuku actually has several places where otaku can have a great time! However, no matter when you go, it tends to be incredibly crowded, so if you're not a fan of crowds, I wouldn't recommend it too much (;'∀') But it's a fun place, so if you're okay with crowds, definitely give it a try!

Sapporo

Actually, Sapporo has many recommended shops for otaku! Be sure to visit places like Animate and Jump Shop!

Sendai

Sendai is also a recommended place for otaku! There are quite a few anime shops around! Check the details from the link above!

Hiroshima

Actually, there are several anime shops in Hiroshima too! Anime fans visiting Hiroshima can have quite an enjoyable time!

Universal Studio Japan

Universal Studios Japan is an absolute recommendation too! They offer a variety of limited-edition goods through anime collaborations!

Fujikyu Highland

Fuji-Q Highland is also recommended for otaku! They frequently collaborate with anime, so be sure to check their official website for the latest information!

Joy Polis

Joypolis is also recommended for otaku! They have numerous anime collaborations and offer VR and AR events as well!

Tokorozawa Sakura Townン

Tachikawa Sakura Town is also recommended for otaku! While the anime hotel has closed, there are still plenty of places for otaku to enjoy, such as the manga library!

Ghibli Park

Ghibli Park is a place that I would absolutely recommend, especially for Ghibli fans rather than general otaku!

Ghibli Museumム

Mitaka's Ghibli Museum is a must-visit for Ghibli fans! Keep in mind that you can't enter without a reservation!

Huis Ten Bosch

Huis Ten Bosch is recommended when they have anime collaborations! Be sure to check their official website, as collaborations may not be ongoing at all times.

Nijigen no Mori

Nijigen no Mori is one of the recommended places for otaku! Especially recommended for those who love Naruto or Dragon Quest! They have collaborations ongoing continuously!

Nakano Broadway

Nakano Broadway is a place I absolutely recommend for otaku! They sell a large variety of anime and tokusatsu-related goods, including Kamen Rider! Definitely worth a visit! Located in Nakano, Tokyo.

Yomiuri Land

Yomiuriland is also recommended for otaku! They frequently host anime events, so be sure to check the official website before you go!

Tokyo Dome City

Tokyo Dome City is also a recommended place for otaku! They regularly host anime events, and there are anime shops to explore as well!

Toei Studio Kyoto

Toei Uzumasa Eigamura (Toei Kyoto Studio Park) is also recommended for otaku! They frequently host anime-related events. Definitely worth a visit!

Doraemon Museum

A must-visit place for Doraemon fans! Definitely check it out!

Niigata

Niigata has many recommended anime shops for otaku! There's even an Anime Museum! Interestingly, it's also a prefecture that has produced numerous manga artists!

TOEI Anime Museum

Toei Animation Museum is also recommended for otaku! Especially for those who love Toei-related anime or are fans of Pretty Cure – you should definitely go!

Hyogo Center Plaza

Hyogo Center Plaza is the largest otaku shopping district in Hyogo! With a multitude of anime shops, it's a must-visit for otaku!

Tokyo Sky Tree

Tokyo Skytree also frequently hosts anime collaborations, making it a recommended spot for otaku! Check the ongoing events on the official website!
