Anime Events

City of Otaku

Akihabara, indeed, it's the heaven for otaku! As an otaku myself, I have visited Akihabara many times! It's seriously the best! Akihabara is a really enjoyable place, so even if you're not very interested in anime, please visit at least once! Also, on Sundays, there's a pedestrian paradise where you can walk on both the sidewalk and the road, providing a different and fun atmosphere. However, it gets incredibly crowded, so even it's cool, I reccomend weekdays are recommended for visiting Akihabara!

You can check out other events on the Event Calendar here!

This is the biggest and the most popular travel company in Japan!! You can reserve hotel at reasonable price!! There are English, Thai, Korean and Chinese version for Rakuten!! You can switch it from language. If you're using Smartphone, change website to PC version and switch the language to your language. To stay in Japan, Japanese site is always the cheapest.

Radio Kaikan

Radio Kaikan is a must-visit place when you come to Akihabara! It's a top priority! They have a massive selection of figures, cards, and various goods for sale. However, please note that some items sold right outside the entrance of Radio Kaikan might be a bit expensive, so I don't recommend buying from there. Additionally, within Radio Kaikan, there are a few stores that may be on the pricier side, so consider purchasing from well-known chains like AmiAmi, Yellow Submarine, KBOOK, etc.! Akiba X is also okay! The stores right inside the entrance are also okay! All card shops are okay too!

Animate

When you come to Akihabara, Animate is also recommended! However, please be careful as it gets very crowded on weekends, especially on Sundays when you might have to wait at the register for about an hour. They mainly sell the latest goods from the newest anime!

If you're looking for adult games (eroge), this is the recommended place after Sofmap! While they do sell some anime goods, almost all of their products are adult games. Additionally, there are two stores in Akihabara, so it's recommended to check out both! The second store focuses more on buying, but they also sell. The main store is primarily for sales!

Of course, for anime shopping, places like Animate are recommended, but if you have time, Yodobashi Camera is also worth a visit!

Bic Camera
